Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 August 2026
The short version: we store your email address, the fare watches you set, and the price history for those routes. We don't hold passport details, dates of birth, or card numbers, because FareTrack never books anything for you. We don't sell your data to anyone.
1What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To send your alerts and receipts, and to sign you in. |
| Your fare watches — routes, dates, target price | To know what to monitor and when to alert you. |
| Price history for watched routes | To show whether a fare is actually a good one. |
| Alert records | So we don't email you the same drop twice. |
| Basic technical logs | To keep the service running and diagnose faults. |
Payment details go directly to Stripe. We receive a customer reference and your subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
2What we deliberately don't collect
FareTrack doesn't book travel, so it has no reason to hold traveller identity data. We do not ask for or store passport or ID numbers, dates of birth, passenger names for bookings, frequent flyer numbers, or card details for travel purchases.
3How we use it
- Running fare watches and sending you alerts.
- Billing and support.
- Understanding, in aggregate, which routes are watched, so we know where to improve coverage.
We don't use your data to build advertising profiles, and we don't send marketing email you haven't asked for.
4Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run FareTrack:
- Stripe — payments and subscription management.
- Our airline data provider — receives route and date queries. It does not receive your email address or identity.
- Our email provider — receives your address in order to deliver alerts.
- Our hosting provider — stores the database.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data where legally required.
5How long we keep it
- Fare watches: until you delete them or close your account.
- Account and email address: until you close your account, then deleted within 30 days.
- Billing records: retained as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Aggregate price history: kept without any link to you, since it isn't personal data once your account is gone.
6Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Email us and we'll action it within 30 days. Deleting your account deletes your watches and alert history.
If you're in the EEA or UK, our lawful bases are performance of a contract (running the service you paid for) and legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and working). If you're in California, we don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
7Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. That's it — no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics that follow you around the web.
8Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted to the operator. No system is perfectly secure, but the most sensitive data you could give a travel service — identity documents and card numbers — is data FareTrack simply never asks for.
9Children
FareTrack isn't intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
10Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect.
